Kassie has a private studio at 947 New Hampshire Street, Suite 205 in downtown Lawrence. The building is adjacent to the city parking garage and fully accessible.
Kassie, a Lawrence native, has been a professional massage therapist since April 2001. She graduated from Emporia State University and the Johnson County Community College Massage Certificate Program. She is Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB) and a professional member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals. She was voted 2013 Best Of Lawrence in the massage therapy category.
In addition to massage, Kassie is a certified practitioner of sound and vibrational healing through the Atma Buti School. She received her training from Suren Shrestha in 2014. She uses handmade Tibetan singing bowls and traditional Himalayan protocols to provide relaxation, balance and clear chakras, and assist your body in healing.
Previously, Kassie lived and worked in Northern Virginia as a certified human resources professional. Since her return to Lawrence, she strives for mindful balanced living – time and energy invested in career, family, friends, play and volunteering. She is a member of the 2009 class of Leadership Lawrence. Kassie is a member of and co-leads a weekly meditation group in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh at the Deep Listening Sangha.
In her practice, Kassie creates a safe and comfortable environment to assist your body in its natural healing process. Clients describe her massage as relaxing, healing and nurturing. Clients describe her as professional, ethical and compassionate.
When not working or volunteering you are likely to see Kassie walking her 80 pound black labradoodle, Max, around downtown or at the dog park. She enjoys baking, cooking, reading and anything outdoors including hiking, biking, golfing, camping, and kayaking.
